Success Teams – what they are + how you can benefit

Have you tried a Success Team? Simply put, a Success Team is a small group of people with a common focus – it can be around anything you want to achieve!

So why join a Success Team? In the words of Ken Blanchard, “None of us is as smart as all of us.” There are so many benefits to reaching for your goals with a supporting group. Some of the biggest benefits are the power of accountability, gaining valuable relationships, and growing your network.

It’s not just a casual networking event – a Success Team hinges on your commitment to the team and its process. You’ll want to make sure:

  • You meet on a regular basis

  • Everyone has equal say

  • You agree to hold each other accountable

You must also:

  • Have someone leading it

  • Be in alignment

  • Ensure trust and accountability

A Success Team is a fantastic opportunity to be with others who are going through the same process as you, but it’s also crucial to have people on your team that span multiple industries, functions, and levels. Make sure they are people you connect with.

Once you’ve found the people you connect with (at least 3, but 5 or 6 is the ideal size), make your schedule and keep that time sacred! A great schedule is once a week for two hours, for a total of six weeks. And you can repeat the cycle as many times as you need to.
